Why I’m Bringing Relax. Cook. Decorate. Back (and What’s Changing)

This space has sat quietly since a little after 2020.

We all know A LOT was going on, and let’s say this became less important for me at that moment.

If you’ve been here before, thank you for stopping by to hang out. If you’re new, welcome. I’m really glad you’re here.

Over the past couple of years, life got full, as it often does. Work, family, responsibilities, growth, all good things, just loud things. Somewhere along the way, this blog became something I “meant to get back to” instead of something I was actively living inside of.

But the truth is, Relax. Cook. Decorate. (formally Relax, Cook & Decorate) never really left me.

It showed up in the way I styled my home more simply.
In the meals I kept coming back to on busy weeks.
In the quiet routines that helped me reset when everything else felt noisy. Lately, I’ve felt a pull to return, not with perfection, not with pressure, but with intention.

What This Space Is Now

This blog isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing things on purpose.

You’ll find:

  • Simple ways to make your home feel calmer

  • Easy, comforting recipes you’ll actually repeat

  • Decorating ideas that favor warmth over trends

  • Small rituals that help life feel a little slower and more grounded

Think: less hustle, more breathing room.

Short posts. Real life. Nothing complicated.

Why I’m Sharing Again

I’ve learned that when something brings you peace, it deserves a place in your life, even if it looks different than it used to.

Creating here helps me slow down and take notice.

It helps me reconnect with the version of myself who values ease and beauty in everyday moments.

That’s reason enough to begin again.

A Little About What I Do Beyond the Blog

Outside of this space, I design websites for small business owners who want their online presence to feel just as calm, intentional, and welcoming as the work they do.

In many ways, this blog reflects the same philosophy I bring to web design:

  • clarity over clutter

  • simplicity over overwhelm

  • design that supports your life, not competes with it

If you’re a small business owner, creative, or service provider who’s craving a website that finally feels like you, you’ll start seeing gentle mentions of that work here, too.

Nothing pushy. Just an open door.

So…Here We Are

This is me stepping back into the light, softly.

No big announcements. No rigid schedule.

Just a return to sharing what feels grounding, useful, and real.

If you’d like to follow along, I’m so happy to have you here. And if this post found you at a moment when you’re craving a little more calm yourself, I hope you’ll stay.

Let’s make things feel lighter again, together.
