Purple Edit: Lavender, Plum + Everything In Between
Overview:
Purple shades like lavender, plum, lilac, and mauve can bring calm, creativity, playfulness, or richness to a space. This personal “Purple Edit” celebrates the colors, decor, and everyday details that simply spark joy.
I didn’t intentionally start collecting purple things. But somewhere between the iridescent purple pumpkin find at HomeGoods, a few kitchen finds, and apparently everything else I’ve been drawn to over the years, a theme emerged.
Somewhere on the Purple Spectrum
A purple fall moment
Lavender. Plum. Mauve. Lilac. That pinky-purple shade that shows up in cotton candy skies at sunset. Even the streaks of purple and pink you sometimes see shimmering through an iridescent oil slick.
These colors make me happy.
That’s really it.
There’s something about the purple spectrum that immediately gets my attention. Give me a soft lavender or a deep moody plum, and I’m interested. Throw in a little iridescence, and I might actually want to do a twirl.
I don't even aim for purple to be the main attraction in my house. I just seem to notice it everywhere, and when I do, it gives me a little spark.
Color Can Do That
Purple lighting is a mood.
Color affects how a space, an outfit, or even a random moment feels.
Some colors energize us. Others feel calming, comforting, nostalgic, or fun. And sometimes a color simply makes you happy for reasons you can't fully explain.
Purple does that for me.
The Purple Edit
So enjoy this little collection of lavender, plum, pinky-purple, and iridescent things that have found their way into my life and made it a little prettier.
