French Kiss Cocktail: An Easy Valentine’s Day Drink to Make at Home
If Valentine’s Day calls for something sweet, simple, and a little flirty, the French Kiss is an easy win. This classic cocktail uses just a few ingredients: bourbon, apricot liqueur, grenadine, and lemon juice, and comes together in minutes.
I made this at home without overthinking the measurements (and for two drinks at once), which makes it perfect for a cozy night in or a last-minute Valentine’s toast.
French Kiss Cocktail Recipe
Serves 1
Ingredients
1½ ounces bourbon
¾ ounce apricot liqueur
2 teaspoons grenadine
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Directions
Add cracked ice to a cocktail shaker.
Pour in all liquid ingredients and shake vigorously until well chilled.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and serve immediately.
Sweet, smooth, and just tart enough, the French Kiss is proof that a Valentine’s Day drink doesn’t need to be complicated to feel special. 💗
Extra Tips:
The recipe calls for regular bourbon, but I used Evan Williams Honey-flavored bourbon, and it was absolutely delicious! Since there’s lemon juice in the drink, the honey flavored bourbo really complements it very well.
I garnished it with frozen cherries because that’s the best thing I had.
